Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
Cut in Butter
Add cold butter and cut into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add Ham & Cheese
Fold in diced ham and shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
Add Milk & Form Dough
Pour in milk and gently mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
Shape Biscuits
Turn dough onto a floured surface, pat into a rectangle, fold once, and cut into biscuits.
Bake
Place biscuits close together on baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and fluffy.
Butter Finish
Brush hot biscuits with melted butter before serving.
