Ingredients
  

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls sliced in half or left whole
  • 4 large eggs
  • ¾ cup whole milk or half-and-half
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp butter for cooking
  • Optional Toppings
  • Maple syrup or honey
  • Powdered sugar
  • Fresh berries
  • Whipped cream

Method
 

  1. Make custard
  2. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Dip rolls
  4. Dip Hawaiian rolls into the custard, allowing them to soak briefly.
  5. Heat skillet
  6. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt butter.
  7. Cook
  8. Cook rolls until golden brown on all sides and cooked through.
  9. Serve
  10. Serve warm with syrup, powdered sugar, or desired toppings.
