Easy Pizza Pasta Bake

Ingredients
  

  • Pasta & Sauce
  • 12 oz 340 g short pasta (penne, rotini, or rigatoni)
  • 2 cups pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Toppings
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • ½ cup cooked sausage optional
  • ½ cup sliced bell peppers or mushrooms optional

Method
 

  1. Cook Pasta
  2. Cook pasta in salted water until just al dente. Drain.
  3. Mix Sauce
  4. In a large bowl, stir pizza sauce with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  5. Combine
  6. Add pasta to the sauce. Fold in toppings and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Assemble
  8. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese.
  9. Bake
  10. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden.
  11. Serve
  12. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
