Method
- Cook penne pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain.
- Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until golden and cooked through.
- Lower heat and add cream cheese and chicken broth. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese and paprika (if using). Stir until melted.
- Add cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated.
- Add pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Serve hot.
