Baked Crunchy Hot Honey Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • For the Chicken
  • lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray
  • For the Hot Honey Sauce
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 –2 tablespoons hot sauce adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place a wire rack over a baking sheet and lightly grease.
  2. Set up three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and panko mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge chicken in flour, dip into eggs, then coat evenly with seasoned panko.
  4. Arrange chicken on the rack and lightly spray with oil.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through (165°F / 74°C).
  6. Meanwhile, heat honey, butter, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth and glossy.
  7. Drizzle hot honey over chicken just before serving.
